Gynecological examination

A gynecological examination is a physical examination of the female genital organs and the small pelvis. This review helps physicians examine the size and position of the vagina, cervix, uterus and ovary. It is an important part of preventing and caring for a woman's health.

It is performed on a gynecological chair, in a reclining or semi-reclining position. If there are no problems, the gynecological examination usually takes a short time, about ten minutes. The gynecologist first examines the external genitalia (in case of condyloma or some skin disease), and then performs a bimanuel examination, that is, a hand examination. After this examination, the gynecologist will also perform several tests.
