Early diagnosis and monitoring of pregnancy

Ultrasound has become an irreplaceable diagnostic method in pregnancy. Beginning with the first ultrasound examination to confirm not only the pregnancy but also its location. On ultrasound examination the doctor pays attention to the following:

  • baby's length measured in millimeters (CRL-crown to rump lenght; length from crown to vertebra)
  • heart shop
  • the weight of the baby
  • the head and internal organs (after formation in later pregnancy)
  • umbilical cord
  • the cervix

In addition to these parameters that are monitored throughout your pregnancy, to determine the progress of your pregnancy, your doctor will look at all those parameters that are specific to you, and he knows them from your history: the possible existence of myoma or some uterine anomalies, etc.
